The mission of TIPS is to promote professional and social interactions among the members and help address issues that are relevant to its members including educational, patient and community oriented activities.
A. To bring together physicians and dentists of Indian heritage practicing in the Triangle Region of North Carolina under one umbrella organization.
B. To function as a not-for-profit, tax-exempt organization exclusively for scientific, educational, professional, social, cultural and charitable purposes.
C. To provide continuing medical and dental education (CME & CDE) to its members as well as those non-member physicians who apply for such CME & CDE.
D. To develop links with local, State and National Professional Organizations to advance the professional lives of its members.
E. To maintain a membership directory of physicians of Indian origin in the State of North Carolina.
F. To represent its members as a professional society when appropriate to support their professional activities and careers. Representation for such professional matters shall include licensing procedures, disciplinary procedures, grievance procedures, etc.
G. As and when possible and with the approval of the Executive Council, to perform public service by community activities and charitable contributions to organizations which qualify as tax-exempt organizations under Section 501(c) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 or the corresponding provision of any future United States Internal Revenue Law.
